Two powerhouse EcoBoost engines power the new Ford Explorer. The 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four produces a stout 300 horsepower, while the available turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 unleashes an incredible 400 horsepower. Both pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission to optimize performance and efficiency. Depending on the configuration, the Explorer achieves up to 20 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. Properly equipped Explorer models can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
