The new Ford Escape for 2024 now offers Intelligent Access with push-button start as a standard feature on the ST-Line higher trim levels. New exterior paint color choices include Race Red for the base trim and Oxford White for the base and Active model. The base model is now available only for fleet purchases so the consumer lineup starts with the Active trim.

The new 2024 Ford Escape offers a total of four trims to choose from: Active, ST-Line, Platinum and PHEV.
Performance and towing
The Ford Escape for 2024 offers a range of powertrains that begin with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine that delivers 181 horsepower and is available with front- or all-wheel drive. You can also choose one of two hybrids both of which are built with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine along with two electric motors to generate a combined 210 horsepower. If you move up to the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower you can make the run from zero to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Towing capacity in the new Ford Escaple ranges from 1500 to 2000 pounds.
Fuel economy
The turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive can give you 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. Go with all-wheel drive and your estimates will be 26 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The most fuel-efficient new Escape is the plug-in hybrid that can give you ratings of up to 44 MPG in the city. Fully-charging the battery in the plug-in hybrid takes about 3.3 hours with a 220-volt charging system.
Interior highlights
The cabin of the new Ford Escape is nicely styled and provides plenty of space for people in both the front and rear seats. Textured-cloth seating upholstery is the standard offering and the Platinum trim is available with faux-leather seating surfaces. Cargo space in the new Ford Escape in EcoBoost models is 37.5 cubic feet in back of the second row and 65.4 cubic feet in back of the first row. The two hybrid models offer less cargo space behind both rows.
Technology
The new 2024 Ford Escape comes with standard technology features that include an 8-inch touch screen, wireless smartphone connectivity, remote keyless entry and a six-speaker audio system. Available upgrades include a 13.2-inch touch screen, wireless device charging, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, an automatically-dimming rear view mirror and a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system with 10 speakers.
Safety
Standard safety features include a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic high-beam headlights.
